  The President of the Federal Supreme Court, Judge Jassim Muhammad Abboud, received on Sunday, 7/4/2024, the Canadian Ambassador in Baghdad, Mrs. Kathy Banka, at the headquarters of the Federal Supreme Court in Baghdad.

The President of the Federal Supreme Court welcomed the Canadian Ambassador in Baghdad, and during the meeting, they stressed the keenness of the Federal Supreme Court to establish bilateral relations with international constitutional courts to exchange legal expertise in the field of constitutional justice to develop it and benefit from the accumulated experiences of constitutional courts in a way that contributes to the correct democratic construction and the preservation of public and private rights and freedoms, in a way that leads to building the constitutional institutions necessary to achieve the rule of law, the peaceful transfer of power and the exercise of all citizens of their civil rights. And political, including the right to vote, elect and nominate in a way that ensures building a state on humanitarian and moral foundations in order to spread justice, lift injustice, preserve public wealth and employ it for the benefit of citizens.
