The Prime Minister of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Dr. Bisher Khasawneh, received today, Thursday, 7/3/2024, in the Jordanian capital, Amman, the President of the Federal Supreme Court, Judge Jassim Muhammad Abboud, and his accompanying judicial delegation.

The court's correspondent stated that the Jordanian Prime Minister affirmed the special place of Iraq, the leadership, government and people, in the conscience of His Majesty King Abdullah II, His Highness the Crown Prince, and the Jordanian people.

As part of his visit schedule to the Jordanian capital Amman, the President of the Federal Supreme Court, Judge Jassim Al-Amiri, and his accompanying delegation discussed with the Jordanian Prime Minister and a number of officials in the Jordanian government, the mechanism of joint cooperation and exchange of legal experiences, in order to achieve the interests of the two countries.

Dr. Bisher Al-Khasawneh also stressed the Kingdom's keenness to strengthen relations in various fields with Iraq.

The court's correspondent stated that the President of the Federal Court stressed that despite the difficult circumstances experienced by Iraq, represented by the emergence of terrorist organizations Al-Qaeda and ISIS, which committed heinous crimes that exceed the description of genocide and war crimes, and despite the fact that these organizations created sectarian strife, Iraq, as a result of the great sacrifices made by the Iraqi people and the support of friendly countries to Iraq, was able to achieve a great victory through which it was able to liberate and eliminate the areas controlled by these organizations despite It has gathered in its evil the forces of global terrorism as a result of the influx of terrorists from all countries of the world and their entry into Iraq and the support of some countries for these terrorist gangs with money and weapons, but the blood of Iraqis, which carries and expresses the noble humanitarian and moral values and principles is much stronger than all the forces of evil and terrorism, and this led to an increase in national cohesion among the Iraqi people, as takfir and terrorism did not discourage the people from moving forward to build a state of institutions and the rule of law and embody the principles of justice, equality and democracy, and that Iraq is currently moving steadily to build the state.

The judiciary had a great role in embodying these principles through the efforts made by all judges to consolidate the values of justice, lift injustice, preserve public funds and employ them to serve the people, as the Federal Court, with its independence and constitutional competences based on the provisions of articles 92, 93 and 94 of the Constitution of the Republic of Iraq for the year 2005, had a major role in maintaining the proper application of the Constitution and preserving political, social and economic rights and freedoms for all citizens. Which accompanied the political process by issuing decisions consistent with the constitution and the law, and that the court was performing its role within the framework of the supreme interest of the people and the country and in a way that ensures the preservation of the national unity of the Republic of Iraq and may not be prejudiced for any reason, and that the Federal Court issued decisions that require achieving equality for all citizens and achieving a fair distribution of wealth, and that in all of this it emphasizes the need to adhere to the provisions of article 110 of the constitution, and that the exclusive competencies of the federal authorities are exercised from those powers, and not to be encroached upon by any other authority because this is related to the sovereignty of Iraq, specifically foreign policy, diplomatic representation, foreign trade policy across the borders of regions and governorates, financial policy formulation and negotiation of foreign treaties, and Iraq is very keen to build international relations with all countries of the world on the basis of mutual respect and common interests, with the exception of the Zionist entity usurping Palestine, where this entity committed crimes against our people in Gaza. The Federal Supreme Court in Iraq seeks to cooperate with all constitutional courts for the purpose of consolidating constitutional values, and building judicial relations in the service of peoples in order to promote human, moral and social values in order to lift injustice and spread justice and consolidate the principle of peaceful rotation of power and the enjoyment of civil and political rights by all citizens, including the right to vote, elect, nominate and build Constitutional institutions correctly, at the same time, it affirms the need to stand against the injustice to which human societies are subjected by countries that violate international laws, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights and violate the provisions of the Charter of the United Nations, and the need for the constitutional judiciary in all countries of the world to have a humanitarian position, considering that the constitutional judiciary in all countries of the world plays a major role in framing human values, rights and freedoms for peoples, which may not be violated.
