President of the Federal Supreme Court Jassim Al-Amiri and President of the Jordanian Constitutional Court Mohammed Al-Mahadeen signed on Wednesday a memorandum of joint cooperation.

The court's correspondent said: "The President of the Federal Supreme Court, Jassim Al-Amiri, and the President of the Jordanian Constitutional Court, Mohammed Al-Mahadeen, signed today in the Jordanian capital, Amman, a memorandum of cooperation between the two countries."

During the signing of the memorandum, Al-Amiri stressed that "the task of the Federal Supreme Court now is not only to implement the constitution literally, but to achieve the supreme interest of the people and the homeland, preserve the unity of Iraq and the need for all citizens to enjoy political, economic and social rights and freedoms," noting that "this is a very difficult task."

He continued, "The Federal Court confirmed that as long as oil and gas belong to all the Iraqi people and oil revenues and wealth must belong to all the Iraqi people, all employees and retirees in the Kurdistan region must enjoy the same rights as the rest of the employees."
