The Federal Supreme Court decides to challenge the constitutionality of the Health Insurance Law

     On Sunday 14/5/2023, the Federal Supreme Court considered the lawsuit No. 60/Federal/2022, which includes challenging the constitutionality of some articles of the Health Insurance Law No. (22) of 2020.   

   The court decided to dismiss the plaintiff's lawsuit (Ayad Jaafar Ali Akbar) regarding the challenge to the constitutionality of the provisions of Article (16 – 3rd - Alif) of the Health Insurance Law No. (22) of 2020 for the absence of a constitutional violation. 

"The Federal Court has decided to reject two lawsuits challenging the constitutionality of the Council of Representatives Replacement Law No. 6 of 2006," Berkdar said.

 The correspondent of the Federal Supreme Court stated that the court ruled the unconstitutionality of Article (9 – 1st - (Jim) and (Sin)), and the phrase (or foreign) of Article (15 – 1st), and Article (16 - second and fourth), and the phrase (and its decision shall be final) of the item (3rd) of Article (18), and Article (27 - third - a), and Article (36 – 1st) of the aforementioned Health Insurance Law, and the ruling was issued by majority, final and binding for all authorities.
