
The Federal Supreme Court participates in the meetings of the Executive Office of the Union of Arab Constitutional Courts and Councils
The Federal Supreme Court participated in the meetings of the Executive Office of the Union of Arab Constitutional Courts and Councils for its sixth session and the meeting of the General Assembly of the Union for the twelfth session, which was held in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates for the period from 24 to 27 February 2025, and the Federal Supreme Court was represented in the meetings by the President of the Court, Judge Jassim Muhammad Abboud, and a member of the Court, Judge Ghaleb Amer Shanin, it was mentioned that the Federal Supreme Court in Iraq is a member of the Executive Office of the Union of Arab Constitutional Courts and Councils, consisting of five Arab countries, as well as membership of the General Assembly of the Union, and the delegation of the Federal Supreme Court participated in an active role in drafting the decisions and recommendations issued by the Executive Office and were approved in the General Assembly.
On the sidelines of the meetings, a bilateral memorandum of understanding was signed between the Federal Supreme Court of the Republic of Iraq and the Constitutional Court of the Kingdom of Morocco.
