The President of the Federal Supreme Court, Judge Jassim Mohammed Abboud, received on Thursday, 23/5/2024, the Ambassador of the Republic of India in Baghdad, Mr. Prashant Besay, at the headquarters of the Federal Supreme Court in Baghdad.
The President of the Federal Supreme Court welcomed the Indian Ambassador in Baghdad and during the meeting they reviewed the bilateral relations between the two countries and ways to develop them to exchange experiences in various aspects and to emphasize the keenness of the Federal Supreme Court to establish bilateral relations with international constitutional courts to exchange legal expertise in the field of constitutional judiciary to develop it and benefit from the accumulated experiences of constitutional courts in a way that contributes to the correct democratic construction and the preservation of public and private rights and freedoms. The Indian ambassador explained that he will work to open new horizons of cooperation between the two countries at various levels, especially in the field of constitutional justice, and stressed the depth of historical relations between the two countries and his country's keenness to strengthen these relations in the interest of the two friendly peoples.
